Story
The North East Fund (NEF) has more than 20 years’ experience of providing investment finance to small and medium-sized companies looking to start up, scale up and grow. Between 2005 and 2025, NEF funds invested £420 million in 2,288 North East companies, helping them to create more than 11,300 jobs and safeguard 12,500 more.
We utilised the full communications mix to promote the benefits of each funding programme. This included extensive media coverage in key regional business publications, regular social media posts and e-newsletters to promote upcoming NEF events to local businesses. We also created infographics that displayed key statistics to highlight economic benefits of the funds, as well as newsletters with beneficiary case studies to demonstrate the efficacy of the funds.
NEF also asked us to create a new website to promote the new funding programme and highlight the success of the previous funds. Working with our partner Bloom Digital, we developed content for a visually dynamic site which reflected the brand values of our client and had in-built flexibility to incorporate videos of future fund investees. We produced written, visual and film content that explained the rationale behind the funds and how they work in practice. Our design team also created a suite of logos – one for North East Fund and one for each of the new funds – and aligned them with the brand identity of NECA’s logo.
