New brand identity, campaign creative, social media promotion

Story

We were challenged by family-owned confectionery maker, Sweetdreams, to develop a name and identity for an ethically produced, high quality chocolate bar that would stand out in an extremely competitive market.

Sweetdreams partners with sustainable Colombian supplier, Luker, so we wove their chocolate dream story into the Gozo narrative, emphasising the importance of backing small-scale farmers and promoting fair pricing.

To bring all of this to life, we teamed up with illustrator Will Richardson to create pared back yet impactful new packaging that would make the product stand out from the crowd. Will created a different interpretation for each of Gozo’s six flavour varieties by using different characters and colourways – bringing the “joy” message to life whilst managing flavour distinctiveness that would ensure recognition and easy selection on-shelf.

Alongside the branding, we ran a social media campaign highlighting Gozo’s prominent presence at a pop-up stall in Newcastle’s iconic Fenwick Food Hall, gaining attraction from some high-profile influencers and further growing Gozo’s social following.

As a result of the pop-up event and regular posting, we hit 7,079 impressions (an increase of +258%) with 484 content interactions (increase of +248%) across a single month.
