Gardiner Richardson recognised in the international Design Business Association Awards
We’ve earned major recognition on the international stage, with our work for the Grainger Market landing a spot on the shortlist of the Design Business Association (DBA) Design Effectiveness Awards 2026.
We’re celebrating alongside our client Newcastle City Council for our brand development and marketing strategy designed to drive increased footfall to the historic Grainger Market in Newcastle. Being shortlisted for a prestigious DBA award highlights the real impact of our place-based branding and destination marketing expertise.
The DBA Design Effectiveness Awards are known as the benchmark for measuring the commercial value of design. Judged by leaders from organisations including the BBC, Carlsberg, Financial Times, Haleon, Monzo Bank, PepsiCo, PwC, Tesco, Uber and Vodafone, the awards recognise work that delivers measurable results for businesses and communities.
Our work with the Grainger Market has also attracted attention closer to home in the North East Marketing Awards: having been shortlisted for Brand Creation of the Year and Best Use of Social Media—celebrating the strength of our brand positioning and digital marketing for the key North East destination.
In addition, our brand positioning for North East Museums, the region’s largest cultural organisation, is shortlisted for Brand Creation of the Year, while our campaign for ABL Health – “You’ve got this and we’ve got you” is recognised in the Campaign of the Year (Agency), Budget Under £50k category.
